Modernizing Education
Our education system does not fit our times.
Every delay in fixing this is detrimental to the trajectory of young people and all of our futures.
In this age of automation, we must overhaul education to adapt to the talents of each student and nurture creativity above all else.
This includes abolishing the high school diploma.
We can't keep ruining futures because of a child's frustration with algebra, or anything else.
Every student must be able to pursue their passions, without hindrance, and be credentialed for their particular knowledge, experience, and skills.
This is something I understand personally. When I was 15 years old, I passed the California High School Proficiency Exam, and decided to drop out of one of the best high schools in the country, so that I could intensely study everything that interested me, on my own. The current school system doesn't even try to make the best use of students time. I'm very much looking forward to working on necessary overhauls in the State Senate.
