If I win this election, EVERY candidate on your March 26 ballot will be able to introduce bills in the State Senate.
I believe this will become a revolutionary legislative tradition.
We've all rooted for candidates who have lost.
We've all rooted for candidates who have won, while also liking some ideas from candidates who lost.
Losing candidates are a valuable voice for a lot of people who support them.
I intend to give this district the very best service and representation that I can, and that includes giving consideration and volume to all of those voices.
State Senators can introduce up to 40 bills, every 2 years, and an unlimited number of State Constitutional Amendments.
Even though there's so much I want to get done, I will allocate 20 of my 40 bills (and potentially some constitutional amendments), to the other candidates in this election. Every candidate will get at least 1, and depending on how votes are divided in this election, some would get 2, 3, or possibly 4.
I will use the resources of the office to help them draft it and introduce it on their behalf EVEN IF I DISAGREE!
I want to be part of a new age in politics, where we rise above trying to deny our rivals consideration and policy accomplishments.
I hope other legislators will follow my example. It could be game-changing.
